Hi everyone! Here's an update on what's been going on the past couple weeks...
When I first accepted my contract with HersheyPark Entertainment and Matt Davenport Productions, I was nervous. Nervous about performing at a theme park and being potentially subjected to sub par working conditions. Nervous about playing guitar professionally. And nervous about moving away from the familiar and leaving my wife behind for 15 weeks. Right away it was apparent that my fears were unwarranted. I am thoroughly enjoying my cast and our show. I also think our show is highly entertaining and this cast is so incredible to watch. You gotta see these dancers, and our vocalists, and of course, the lead guitarist, Jim, it has been so awesome watching and learning from him, he is an incredible performer. I never thought I would enjoy working at a theme park so much. I do miss my wife more than I could have imagined and have had a few terribly blue days, but the new friends I have made have been such a blessing. Now that our show is fully open, I'm starting to get into the swing of things and am getting a real taste of what it looks like to perform full time for a living. I am very much enjoying it.
Thank you for keeping up to date with me! I very much appreciate your support and encouragment. I'll write again soon!
